What is MSP? Launched by the Office of Government Commerce (OGC), Managing successful programmes is a methodology consisting of a set of principles and best practises for successfully delivering, organising and managing a programme.

Our Managing Successful Programmes (MSP) training courses includes the following; MSP Overview (a 1 day course giving an insight into the MSP philosophy), MSP Foundation, MSP Practitioner, MSP Advanced Practitioner and also Exam preparation workshops. Assessed and certified by APMG, there are three exam certification levels: Foundation, Practitioner and Advanced Practitioner.

  • Foundation exam Wednesday afternoon duration is 50mins
  • Practitioner exam Friday morning is 2.5 hours
  • Advanced Practitioner - additional 2 day course culminating in a 2.5 hour exam

Alternative certification paths

Candidates can take the Foundation course only, then attend a Practitioner Conversion workshop at a later stage and, if required, go on to take an Advanced Practitioner Workshop. MSP examinations are taken during each individual course.

Delegates who have taken and failed the Practitioner examination can re-set the examination after completing the Practitioner Conversion course.

Practitioners must take Re-Registration exams every 3 to 5 years.

Thinking about Onsite?

If you need training for 3 or more people, you should ask us about onsite training. Putting aside the obvious location benefit, content can be customised to better meet your business objectives and more can be covered than in a public classroom. It's a cost effective option.
