Reviews

The Unix introduction course met my expectations in that I can now work with directories and files on our Solaris server. The course also explained file and directory permissions and how to search and edit files. Anyone that needs to work on a Unix or Linux operating system at the command line level should take this course first as Unix commands are not intuitive and the knowledge gained on this course can help to prevent costly errors caused by using the commands wrongly. There wasn't a particular part of the course that made a big impression, just steady progress through the essential commands needed to monitor and maintain our Unix server. I have used the knowledge gained from this course to install software upgrades from an external supplier.
