The course will allow the delegate to perform the following tasks within their organisation

  • Plan and design Active Directory implementations to meets the needs of their organisations.
  • Install and perform configuration of Active Directory Services within Windows Server environments.
  • Manage Active Directory security, disaster recovery and maintain day-to-day running.
  • Understand Operations Master and the Active Directory Schema.
  • Understand other Active Directory Services within Windows 2008 such as Lightweight Directory Services and Rights Management Services.


  • Administrators who will be designing, implementing and managing Windows based networks with Active Directory using Windows Server 2003 or Windows Server 2008.
  • Delegates who are preparing for a Windows Server qualification.


Delegates should have attended ONE of the following courses OR have equivalent knowledge

  • W2K33ADM
  • Windows Server 2003 Administration


  • W2K83ADM
  • Windows Server 2008 Administration.

Knowledge of managing Windows desktop operating systems is assumed during this course
