The course teaches delegates basic programming, work management, menu building and iSeries Navigator skills. There is some overlap with the content of the iSeries/i5 Operations course, however topics are dealt with in a more in-depth fashion here.
Extensive hands on exercises are included to provide practical experience and enhance learning. On completion of this course, delegates will be able to write simple CL programs and menus to simplify and automate operations. Attendees will leave with a better understanding of how the system carries out work, and the ability to use the iSeries Navigator to carry out operations.
This course is ideal for experienced IT operators and administrators working with iSeries.
Attendees should be familiar with the operating environment of the system. They should have attended our iSeries/i5 Operations course, or have equivalent experience.
If you need training for 3 or more people, you should ask us about onsite training. Putting aside the obvious location benefit, content can be customised to better meet your business objectives and more can be covered than in a public classroom. It's a cost effective option.
