Overview

This course provides an introduction to Command Language (CL) programming for operators and system administrators. It is assumed that attendees have little or no programming experience. On completion, delegates will be able to write CL programs to perform operations and administrative functions.

NOTE: The content of this course is very similar to our CL Programming for Programmers course, however emphasis is placed on writing programs for an operations and system administration environment.

This course is intended for operators and system administrators with little or no programming experience.

Prerequisites

Attendees should be familiar with the operating environment of the system and should have attended our iSeries/i5 Operations course, or have equivalent experience.
